Tiffany Lewis was recently appointed the Director of the Longhorn Link Program (LLP). Longhorn Link is a federally funded TRIO Student Support Services Program (SSSP). The program’s main goal is to increase the college retention and graduation rates of its participants and facilitate the process of transition from one level of higher education to the next. The program takes a holistic approach to preparing students by providing students with academic support, leadership development, and enrichment opportunities. In her role, she is responsible for implementing and administering the SSSP and for achieving the program objectives.
Tiffany received both her B.A. (2003) and M.Ed. (2008) from the University of Texas at Austin and is currently a doctoral student in the Program in Higher Education Leadership (PHEL). Prior to becoming the Director of LLP, she joined the Longhorn Center for Academic Excellence (LCAE) team in 2006 and led the Faculty & Staff Mentor Program, the ACE (Achieving College Excellence) Program, and she served as the Program Coordinator and Assistant Director of the Gateway Scholars Program. In addition to her work with LCAE, she will lead a new initiative within the Academic Diversity Initiatives Unit as the Director of the University Women of Color Research Initiative.
