Q: Will there be parking available for agencies attending the fair?
A: Use flashers to drop off materials at the West Mall, then find parking. Note that campus parking is very limited and San Antonio Garage is one of the closest for the street. Our office does not validate parking. Other pay parking is marked by a box on the provided online map.
Q: What is provided to participating agencies at the event?
A: One 6’ table and 2 chairs are provided for each agency, plus a table stand with your agency’s name displayed. The tables are bare, so feel free to bring anything you’d like to decorate/place on the table. WiFi access is available upon request at the time of registration. Coffee and lunch are also provided for agency representatives.
Q: Will lunch be provided or will there be access to food?
A: Complimentary coffee will be served from 9:15a.m. – 9:45a.m. for registered agencies. Texas Iron Spikes will once again cook fajitas on site for lunch. Each registered agency representative will receive a ticket good for one fajita and one water. Food and beverages will also be available for purchase from several locations:
-Food carts along Speedway Mall
-Inside the McCombs Business School (facing Speedway – Wendy’s and several UT stores)
-The UT Texas Union (Guadalupe St and West Mall)
Q: Will the fair continue in inclement weather?
A: This event is outdoors, and is a rain or shine event! In the event of inclement weather projected in the forecast, we will postpone the event to our scheduled rain date (typically 2 weeks after the original date).
Q: What if I cannot stay for the entire event?
A: That’s okay! We’d love to have you at the event recruiting volunteers for any length of time that you can be there. Whenever you arrive/leave, stop by the information and check-in tent at the east end of West Mall (closest to the UT Tower).
Accessibility – If you need an accommodation to attend/participate in this event, please call 512-471-6161 no later than five (5) business day prior to the event. If you only need accessible parking, please stop at the guard stations marked on the attached map and request a temporary UT permit to park in “D” parking spaces. You must have your state issued permit with you to receive the permit.
