When you give to the Division of Diversity and Engagement (DDCE), you are fostering a culture of excellence through diverse people, ideas, and perspectives. Your gifts help create a successful pathway for first-generation and underrepresented students as they progress through the PreK-16 pipeline, nurture a welcoming campus culture, support groundbreaking research, and promote community-university partnerships that further the core mission of the university to serve Texas and beyond. Through your generosity, we strive to make the university accessible and inclusive for all of its students, alumni and friends.
This year we celebrate 10 years of the DDCE, taking a moment to highlight our accomplishments over the past decade. While it’s an exciting time of celebration, we remain steadfast and committed to embracing and encouraging diversity in all its forms. It is important to think of diversity not as a path toward uniformity, but as a way to acknowledge and value everyone’s varied experiences. This is especially vital in the increasingly multicultural state of Texas and global marketplace.
The DDCE is a successful model for integrating diversity into the core mission of a university and integrating community engagement into teaching, research and service. Thank you to our many supporters who are already enabling DDCE and The University of Texas at Austin to become a national leader for diversity in higher education. Together we will continue to transform lives.
