Celebrando el Esfuerzo Latinx
¡SI SE PUDO!
Following the cancellation of the official UT ceremonies in May, the graduation events housed within the MEC are cancelled. However, we still want to celebrate you in a special way!
Latinx Grad Spotlights
We are collecting post graduation plans statements, grad/professional photos to be showcased on our IG social media page (@UTLatinx) and website, and also a baby photo (optional) for our website.
If you would like to participate, please submit this form here.
Latinx Grad Care Packages
Registration for care packages is closed as we have met our capacity. Due to supply limitations – these care packages were available on a first come first served basis. We appreciate your understanding.
We are in the process of gathering items for shipments. It is difficult for us to determine an accurate time frame, but we would like to send them out by mid-May. We appreciate your patience!
A Future Ceremony for 2020 Grads
We are unable to provide details due to the uncertainty surrounding COVID-19. The students within Latinx Community Affairs would like to host an event in the future to recognize graduates once the university announces more information about an in person ceremony later in the year.
Congratulations Class of 2020!!

About the Latinx Graduation Ceremony
Latinx Graduation Ceremony was created by students, for students. As a Latinx community at this university, we wanted a space to recognize and celebrate the accomplishments, successes, and achievements of all the Latinx graduates. More importantly, we know that the journey you have taken to get here has not been an easy one. We understand the sacrifices you and your family have made and the struggles you overcame, but you never gave up. You are a UT Latinx and you have made all of us proud.
This ceremony is a day of celebration for the entire Latinx community.

Who plans the Latinx Graduation?
Latinx Graduation is an open, bilingual ceremony organized by the student organization: Latinx Community Affairs, housed under the Multicultural Engagement Center.
Can I participate in Latinx graduation?
The spring 2020 ceremony has been cancelled. We are working to see how we can celebrate graduates once the university announces more information about an in person ceremony later this year. Any Spring/Summer 2020 graduate can participate.
I paid for a serape and/or to participate in the 2020 ceremony. Will I get a refund?
Yes! Our staff advisor will be processing refunds for everyone who paid money for a serape, or to participate in a ceremony. Thanks to the contributions of our sponsors (listed above) we have been able to secure funding for a limited amount of care packages to be sent to students at no cost during this unprecedented time. Please email email@example.com for any refund questions/concerns.
If your questions or concerns have not been answered after reading the FAQ, feel free to email us at: firstname.lastname@example.org
