Timi Komonibo, a former Intellectual Entrepreneurship (IE) Pre-Grad Intern and member of DDCE’s Multicultural Engagement Center, recently presented a TEDx Talk on sustainable fashion and fashion philanthropy. Komonibo is currently studying public diplomacy at Syracuse University and writing for her fashion and lifestyle blog, Natural Choices. She recently launched Style Lottery, a nonprofit that advocates for sustainable fashion.
In a testimonial, provided by the IE Pre-Graduate Internship Program, she states:
“IE definitely made a difference! If not for the IE Program, I would have been in law school and on an entirely different path. I am grateful for this experience that led to my current graduate school program at Syracuse. After completing my master’s degrees, my next goal is to earn a PhD and become a college professor. In addition to IE, my time as a middle school teacher with Teach for America reinforced a desire to be a lifelong educator.”
