This year’s keynote speaker will be Thomas Tonatiuh Lopez, a prominent voice in the resistance movement against the Dakota Access Pipeline. He spent months working with the International Indigenous Youth Council on the ground at Standing Rock.

Lavender Graduation is co-hosted by the Gender and Sexuality Center, The Queer & Trans Students Alliance (QTSA) and the Queer Graduate Student Alliance (QGSA). The goal is to provide a venue to demonstrate the success of UT Austin’s LGBTQ+ community members in a personal, entertaining and celebratory way.  Follow the online conversation: #longhornlavgrad.
