The People of DDCE: Diana Sanchez
Meet Diana Sanchez, administrative manager who assists on everything from serving our university resource groups with administrative needs to acting as the DDCE’s inventory contact. As she puts it in her own words, “I’m the one who helps keep the lights on by paying all the bills on time.”
Sanchez joined the DDCE in February 2017 and previously worked at the College of Pharmacy and the Office of the Executive Vice President and Provost. From San Benito, Texas (a small town just east of Harlingen) Sanchez came to Austin in 2002 to embark on her college career as a Longhorn and has been here ever since.
What she has enjoyed most about the DDCE has been the welcoming and friendly environment that permeates the division. “Everyone I work with has been so helpful and happy to share their knowledge to accomplish the division’s important mission,” she says.
Away from work, Sanchez’s free time mostly consists of chasing her daughter around and finding fun weekend activities for the family. She also enjoys gardening. Stationed in FAC 402, make sure to stop by say hi the next time you’re in her neck of the woods.
