Mark your calendars! The 2017 Austin Pride Parade is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 26 at 8 p.m. in downtown Austin. The Pride Festival  is happening 11 a.m. through 6 p.m. at Fiesta Gardens, 2101 Jesse E Segovia St. Join the Gender & Sexuality Center, the Texas Exes Pride Network , the Pride and Equity Faculty & Staff Network, the Dell Medical School’s Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and several UT student groups at their table at the festival! Go here for ticket information for the festival.

After the festival, students, faculty, staff, alumni, family and friends are welcome to represent UT in the Austin Pride Parade in downtown Austin. This year is the first time UT Austin will have a float in the parade, thanks to funding provided by the DDCE and the Dell Medical School’s Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.

Before the parade, the Texas Exes Pride Network will host a celebratory party—complete with food, drinks and a DJ—on San Jacinto Blvd. between 15th and 11th streets at 7 p.m. Be sure to arrive on time to practice your cheers and dance moves! The parade is free and open to the public.

To join the UT group, go to this online form. For more information, contact the GSC: 512-232-1831, gsc@austin.utexas.edu.
