UT Outreach Students Get a Glimpse into College Life at Longhorn Preview Day

Image of Longhorn Preview Day
Hundreds of incoming Longhorns from schools across Texas spent a day on campus to get ready for their freshman year on Thursday, March 8. Throughout the Longhorn Preview Day, they participated in a number of activities to get acquainted with their new school, including info sessions on academic readiness, admissions and financial aid. The high school seniors also had the opportunity to meet with faculty and staff and learn about the many resources available within the Longhorn Center for Academic Excellence  (LCAE) and other units and centers across campus.

Housed within the Longhorn Center for School Partnerships, UT Outreach serves underrepresented students by providing college readiness enrichment designed to assist them in graduating from high school and matriculating to institutions of higher education, including The University of Texas at Austin.

Longhorn Preview Day is an annual event hosted by the LCAE, a learning community within the DDCE that offers a number of  academic success programs and resources for students of all majors.
