Staff within the DDCE joined Austin community members at a farewell celebration for Mike Manor, chair for the Travis County Sheriffs Office’s Building Bridges Program. Attendees thanked him for his 21 years of service and dedication to the community and citizens of Austin/Travis county at the morning event held on Friday, Sept. 21 at the Simpson United Methodist Church.

Freddie Dixon of the DDCE’s Community Engagement Center extended his gratitude for Manor’s good work with the program. Manor also provided remarks and passed the baton to Flynn Lee, who will continue the program’s efforts to build community-police relations and improve public safety.
