Chasing Perfection: The Legacy of John Chase will be displayed at the University of Texas at Austin School of Architecture April 1-May 1. John Chase was the first African American architect licensed in Texas and was one of the first black graduate students to enroll at UT Austin. Featuring architectural drawings, photographs, scrapbooks, and objects from his personal collection, Chasing Perfection offers insight into Chase and his works, the earliest of which was recently acquired by UT Austin to serve as the DDCE’s community engagement center.

All are invited to join the School of Architecture community for an opening reception on Monday, April 1, at 5:00 p.m. in Goldsmith Hall’s Mebane Gallery. The event is cosponsored by the DDCE.
