Dr. Leonard Moore to Be Interviewed on KAZI-FM on October 3, 9:30 a.m.
Dr. Leonard N. Moore, vice president for Diversity and Community Engagement and George W. Littlefield Professor of American History, will be a guest on the KAZI-FM program Zumbi, October 3, at 9:30 a.m. Hosted by Stephanie Lang, program administrator for the Division of Diversity and Community Engagement, Zumbi spotlights artists, activists, and scholars whose work is influenced by the richness of black life in Austin, and around the world. Lang will be discussing with Moore his work as a historian and the work of DDCE.
Zumbi is sponsored by The John L. Warfield Center for African and African American Studies and The Center for Community Engagement at the University of Texas at Austin.
The program is named for Zumbi dos Palmares (1655-1694), an Afro-Brazilian freedom fighter and last leader of the Quilombo dos Palmares.
