We raise our horns to all spring 2021 graduates who have worked hard and persevered through new and challenging times. Below is a listing of virtual and on-campus commencement celebrations that honor our remarkable graduating seniors. Good luck to all our new alumni and hook ‘em!

Black Graduation
Where: Texas Union Ballroom
When: 12-4 p.m., Thursday, May 20

Black Graduation is an annual program that gives graduates the chance to commemorate and cherish all the accomplishments, memories and challenges throughout their college years. This year’s event will also include a “Black Parade” in the LBJ Library parking lot for guests to celebrate with students. Disability Graduation

Services for Students with Disabilities (SSD) and several campus partners are co-hosting the second annual Disability Graduation, a celebration honoring graduates with disabilities. This year’s event will include speakers as well as individual recognition for graduates. Graduates interested in receiving a care package are asked to RSVP (form to be posted on the SSD website). Graduating student spotlights will be posted on the SSD’s social media channels: Facebook and Instagram.Visit the SSD website for updates.
First-Gen Longhorns Graduation

First-Gen Longhorns Graduation recognizes the accomplishments, successes and achievements of all graduating students who will be the first in their families to earn a college degree. Hosted by the Multicultural Engagement Center, the Office of the Vice President, Student Success Initiatives and the Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs. GraduAsian

In partnership with several campus partners, the Multicultural Engagement Center is reviving GraduAsian, a ceremony that commemorates the many achievements of UT Austin’s graduating Asian American students. For more information and updates, visit the GraduAsian website.
Latinx Graduation

Lavender Graduation

The Gender and Sexuality Center (GSC) and several co-hosts present Lavender Graduation, a special ceremony that honors the achievements of graduating lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, asexual, intersex and ally students on campus. This year’s ceremony will include speeches from faculty, administrators, students and alumni; the chance to cross the Lavender Stage to celebrate your success and to receive a Lavender Graduation certificate as well as a rainbow tassel; and music cupcakes and food to share with friends, family and well-wishers!
