2021 Pride Month UT Resources

In honor of Pride Month, we rounded up some free and accessible university resources that celebrate and support the LGBTQ+ community including mental health services, library collections, Ally trainings, inclusive language guides and more.


Hogg Foundation for Mental Health 
Visit the Hogg Foundation’s website to read a statement on Pride Month and to find a listing of state-wide mental health resources, podcasts and blog posts on issues impacting the LGBTQ+ community.


Gender & Sexuality Center: Serving Women and LGBTQIA+ Communities
The DDCE’s Gender & Sexuality Center (GSC) offers and array of LGBTQ+ resources to the entire university community. Visit their website to learn how to access books from the GSC’s Ana Sisnett Library, which houses a large collection of literature and DVDs. Offerings also include Ally trainings, Peers for Pride student workshops, student advocacy organizations and more. Pride and Equity Faculty Staff Association
The Pride and Equity Faculty Staff Association (PEFSA) is a University Resource Group that works to promote the interests of LGBTQ+ and allied faculty and staff at UT Austin. All benefits-eligible faculty and staff (including graduate students) who subscribe to the mission of PEFSA are welcome to join. The Black Queer Studies Collection
The Black Queer Studies Collection, which is designated digitally through notes in library catalog records, is designed to promote and increase the discoverability of the UT Libraries’ unique holdings in the area of African and African Diasporic lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer studies. Visit the LGBTQ Studies website for more information.


 U.S. Latinx LGBTQ Studies Collection 
The U.S. Latinx LGBTQ Studies collection is housed within the Nettie Lee Benson Latin American Library, one of the premiere libraries in the world focused on Latin America and Latinx Studies. Visit this UT Libraries website to explore the many books, archival collections, databases and scholarly journals focused on Latinx LGBTQ studies.
