BGSA Hosts Inaugural Research Symposium
The Black Graduate Student Association recently hosted its inaugural Multicultural Research and Professional Development Symposium, bringing together student researchers from schools and colleges across the university for a full day of presentations and networking. Held on campus on Friday, October 21, the event was co-sponsored by the DDCE and the Graduate School.
The Black Graduate Student Association (BGSA) is an interdisciplinary organization that aims to empower and provide support to Black graduate students at UT Austin. Through academic programming, professional development, community engagement and social events, the BGSA addresses the needs of Black graduate students while also serving as a space for learning and discussion.
