History of Social Entrepreneurship in China and the U.S.
The program focuses on how innovative people in China and the U.S. use business approaches to address poverty, environmental concerns, migrant education, caring for an aging population, urban unemployment, health care, orphan child welfare, women’s right, incarceration, and other issues. This course explores China’s social entrepreneurial landscape and similarities and differences between China and the U.S. In addition to classroom learning, students will engage in a short-term service learning opportunity with local organizations.
