Joanna Drake is an Administrative Manager for the Division of Diversity and Community Engagement. She is a UT alum with an undergraduate degree in Business Management. In 2011, she began her career working on campus where her foundation and curiosity in financial management and program support emerged. She has been with the DDCE family for over 3 years and currently supports the Office of the Vice President, the Longhorn Center for Academic Excellence (LCAE), and the Longhorn Center for School Partnerships (LCSP). Her core strengths are relational in nature and include connecting, intellectualizing, developing, harmonizing, and empathizing with others (StrengthsFinder). To that end, she believes in authentic relationships both professionally and personally and feels most connected and engaged when she is mentoring young people both in the workplace and outside of it. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, baking, board games, movies, fostering dogs, being engaged with her church community, reading, and writing poetry.
