Feb. 3 – Volunteer Open House: Learn How to Protect our Water! 5:30pm to 6:30pm
Want to learn how to teach young students to become better caretakers of our Austin rivers? Join the Colorado River Alliance at the Redbud Center and become a talented environmental educator! Snacks and beverages will be provided. Register here.
Feb. 6 – DSACT Speech Program multiple shifts on registration page
Engage children, teenagers, and young adults with Down syndrome in play and conversation while their parents attend seminars teaching them how to develop speech and language skills in their children. Register here.
Feb. 12 – College for A Day multiple shifts
The Neighborhood Longhorns Program is hosting College For A Day, which invites about 150 students from grades 6-8 to visit the University of Texas at Austin and engage in a variety of activities, which includes a campus tour, lunch, and a college student panel. Register here.
Feb. 20 – Dillo Day at Pease Park 9am to 12pm
It’s that time of year again, time to get Dillo Dirt on the field at Pease Park! Join the Park Saturday (2/20) morning at 9:00am to get the field in top shape for the upcoming spring and summer months. General trash pick-up and flower bed maintenance will be done also. The park will provide all the tools and gloves necessary. Volunteers are asked to wear clothes and footwear appropriate for outdoor work. Register here.
Feb. 24 – Spring 2016 Job & Internship Fair multiple shifts on registration page
UT Communication Career Services is looking for volunteers to help during the Spring Communication Job & Internship Fair! Volunteers will assist with duties like escorting employers to their booths, assisting with student sign in, and distributing and collecting career fair surveys. Register here.
Feb. 27 – The Project 2016 multiple shift and location opportunities on registration page
The Project is a rotating partnership with under-served Austin communities, culminating in one service day on the last Saturday in February. Approximately 2000 university volunteers work at sites throughout one community to complete work to refresh and improve public space, individual residences, and neighborhood centers. Register here.

Parent and Caretaker Support Group Childcare Repeats monthly on third Tuesday
Easter Seals Central Texas is looking for volunteers to care for children with disabilities while their parents are meeting in a support group. Duties would include: Set up childcare area with supplies and welcome families, Keep kids safe, while helping them play in the indoor playground area, Brainstorm creative ways to engage the kids in play with resources, etc. Register here.
Gardening 101 Class: Concho Community Garden Repeats Weekly on Wednesdays
These volunteer days will be a hosted as hands-on, educational experiences for those truly interested in learning about sustainable food, practices, and lifestyles. Topics may include: Composting, Plant care/maintenance, Soil health, Seasonal planting, Nutrition, & Much more! Register here.
