The Austin City Hall Fellows is a partnership of the CCE and the City of Austin and was founded in 2014 with the creation of single-member city council districts in Austin. The goal of the program is to mobilize UT students in community organizing and asset-mapping as a way of building capacity for the City to do outreach.
The ACHF program is comprised of a co-curricular/teambuilding component and a service-learning class, LA212C, with the AVP for Community Engagement and Economic Development as the instructor of record. An LCCE GRA has a prominent role in the construction of the course and teaching and advising of students, and we have a course assistant who is a former Fellow.
