This information is for students who will be participating in graduation/commencement ceremonies in May. If you will not be participating in these ceremonies the information will not apply to you (yet!).
Please be aware that commencement ceremonies often require graduates to stand for long periods and/or use stairs to access the stage where you will be officially recognized. We want all graduates to be able to participate in their graduation ceremonies and accommodations are available to make that possible. Please see below for information on how to request accommodations for your college or school’s ceremonies.
Services for Graduates with Disabilities
Degree candidates with disabilities, who need accommodations to participate in either a Convocation ceremony or the University-wide Commencement ceremony, are asked to contact their college, school or department representative to ensure proper arrangements are made prior to arrival at Commencement activities. For more information about commencement ceremonies please visit http://www.events.utexas.edu/commencement/spring/grad-disability. If you know you will need an accommodation please make your request as soon as possible. Accommodation requests made less than five business days in advance of Commencement programs may not be able to be provided.
Congratulations and best of luck in your future endeavors!
