We want to make sure faculty, staff, students and visitors are aware of the pedestrian disruptions that happen on campus due to construction and maintenance. We will update this page as we become aware of projects that may disrupt paths of travel on campus.
San Jacinto between 20th and 21st St.: December 10th-December 12th
Texas Gas Service (TGS) will be closing the sidewalk on the east side of San Jacinto between 20th and 21st St. starting Thursday 12/10 through Saturday 12/12 for installation of a new lateral line. While the sidewalk closure is in place, pedestrian traffic will be detoured to the west sidewalk along San Jacinto at 20th and 21st; this detour is to be set-up by sub-contractor that specializes in traffic control.
TGS contractor has agreed to assist pedestrians that may need assistance passing through this location and/or navigating the detour route while work is ongoing in the sidewalk area.
The red marks show the location of the lateral being installed and the green lines/arrows show the pedestrian detour routing.
