Drop In appointments provide an opportunity for students, faculty, staff, parents and prospective students to meet with an SSD coordinator without an appointment. The SSD Coordinator will be available to meet in person or respond via email or phone calls. Drop In meetings are intended to be 15 minutes or less in length.
Students who are registered with SSD are encouraged to contact their Disabilities Services Coordinator directly rather than come to Drop In hours.
Attending a Drop In appointment does not fulfill the requirements to register with our office. See How to Register for more information.
The drop-in schedule is 10:00am-3:00pm on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and 12:30pm-3:00pm on Tuesday and Friday. SSD coordinators rotate coverage throughout the week.
The concealed carry of handguns is prohibited in patient care areas at UT Austin, including those areas in which professional mental health services are provided. Because a significant majority of the Student Services Building (SSB) is devoted to patient care, the entire SSB is exempt from the concealed carry of handguns. For more information visit the Campus Carry website: https://campuscarry.utexas.edu/.
* Students who come in before or after the available drop-in times for the day will be encouraged to come back or to schedule an appointment.
