The Division of Diversity and Community Engagement (DDCE) announces the establishment of its DDCE Global Student Fellows Program. This program is designed to foster an innovative community of globally-minded students at the University of Texas at Austin who will advance our core purpose of transforming lives for the benefit of society.
The Global Student Fellows are recruited and selected for participation based on a demonstrated set of skills they developed through their participation in a DDCE sponsored global initiative. Thus, alumni of these abroad experiences are the target audience for participation. Their global mindset, skills and level of engagement are major determinants in their selection. Fellows will have the opportunity to hone and sharpen their professional identities through skill development workshops and innovative programming centered around public speaking and storytelling, project management, intercultural competence, thriving in ambiguity, emotional intelligence and high performing team development. Fellows will serve as student ambassadors and presenters, helping to influence diverse students to take advantage of international opportunities like studying, interning, working and leading abroad.
