Annie Huynh is a second-year student at The University of Texas pursuing a degree in Communication and Leadership, a minor in Business, and a certificate in Social Entrepreneurship. She is a member of The Fearless Leadership Institute, Texas Filipino Student Association, the Division of Diversity and Community Engagement Global Student Fellow. When she was in high school, she spent her time mentoring primary school children in inner-city Houston. That’s where she discovered her passion for helping others. She is an all around enthusiastic person whether she is working out, providing after-school care, or meeting someone new. She is having fun and she loves delving deeper into new tasks and viewing life as something sweet. Born a Vietnamese-American, in Alief, Texas she values a multicultural perspective. However, it was not until she traveled to Beijing, China through UT’s DDCE Social Entrepreneurship program when she discovered her relentless curiosity, her passion for cultural insights, and her desire to expand her worldview. Driven by social impact, today, she hopes to pursue a career in Social Enterprise and Nonprofit so she materialize my goals of spearheading social reform and impact people worldwide.
