My project is about using research and statistical analysis to quantify the impact of studying abroad on students and their interpersonal relationships before and after the abroad experience.
I chose this project because through studying abroad I have found a new level of confidence in business and professional settings. Due to my experiences abroad, I have also indirectly inspired people in my family to obtain their passports and explore the world abroad.
I decided to participate in the GSF program because I want to help advance and inspire the next generation of first-generation study-abroad travelers and share my experience with them.
My favorite memory of studying abroad with DDCE is from the 2022 Cape Town, South Africa trip where we climbed a mountain together. This was a challenging experience for me but getting out of my comfort zone was extremely powerful and necessary. Plus, the views from the top were breathtaking!
