INTRODUCING: The Black Queer & Trans Collective (BQTC) at UT!
BQTC is a collective of Black LGBTQIA+ faculty, staff, and students at the University of Texas at Austin. BQTC aims to build community, provide mentorship opportunities, and promote mental and physical wellbeing through events that center Black LGBTQIA+ individuals. BQTC is a joint effort between the Gender and Sexuality Center, Black Graduate Student Association, Afrikan American Affairs, The Counseling and Mental Health Center, the Center for Women’s and Gender Studies, and the Warfield Center for African and African American Studies. BQTC is fiscally supported by Provost Edmund T. Gordon’s Office.
Join us for our first meet-up to learn who we are, meet new people across campus, and discuss the state of Black LGBTQIA+ life at UT Austin. Our RSVP link is tinyurl.com/BQTC-kickoff ❤
