Project MALES (Mentoring to Achieve Latino Educational Success) is based within the Division of Diversity and Community Engagement (DDCE) at the University of Texas at Austin.
Our website serves as more than a web presence for the project. It also serves as a clearinghouse for emerging research and news on Latino males in higher education as well as a resource for researchers and practitioners looking to learn more about this important issue. You will also find many links to our partners and other programs that are engaged on issues related to males in education. We encourage you to explore our website and return often. Last summer we hosted our third UT Latino Male Symposium for over 200 education professionals from throughout the state. In September 2013 we launched our exciting new state-wide initiative called the Texas Education Consortium for Male Students of Color, a partnership of K-12 and higher education institutions across the state.
