In one month we will be hosting our 3rd Annual Texas Male Student Leadership Summit, that will take place August 11-12, 2016 at The University of Texas at Austin. The Summit is an invite only event for institutional members of the Texas Education Consortium for Male Students of Color. The Summit will bring together emerging male student leaders from across the state of Texas as well as professionals who are dedicated to their academic success. This year’s Summit is organized around three key themes: Leadership Development, Career Readiness, and Brotherhood. Attendees will attend plenary and concurrent sessions that link to each of these themes. Additionally three different tracks of concurrent sessions will be offered: a professional track for working professionals, a college/university track for enrolled students, and a K-12 track designed for 8th grade through 12th grade students.
This year we will continue our career and education exhibit area to encourage attendees to interact with corporate recruiters and learn about graduate school options. We are also introducing a pre-conference on August 11th from 8am-12pm.
