This week Houston Baptist University will host our 7th meeting of Texas Education Consortium for Male Students of Color (TECMSC). Mr. Eduardo Borges, Senior Director of Special Projects will welcome leaders from five school districts and 25 institutions of higher education from across the state of Texas. The meeting will also feature a report from Dr. Francisco Solis, Chair, of the Consortium Advisory Council, Consortium updates from Dr. Victor Sáenz, Executive Director and founder of Project MALES and the Texas Education Consortium for Male Students of Color, Site report updates from Dr. Luis Ponjuán, Co-Founder of Project MALES, a Summit and Consortium report from Dr. Claudia Garcia-Louis, Visiting Assistant Professor at the University of Texas San Antonio and Project MALES Faculty & Research Affiliate, a Student/local partners panel, moderated by Dr. Emmet Campos, Director of Project MALES and the Texas Education Consortium for Male Students of Color, and breakout sessions by region and educational sectors, moderated by the Consortium staff.
