We are excited to share that the inaugural North Texas Male Student Leadership Summit is scheduled for Friday October 20, 2017. The North Texas Male Student Leadership Summit is sponsored by Tarrant County College, in collaboration with the University of North Texas, and in partnership with the Texas Education Consortium for Male Students of Color.
The summit will be hosted at the Tarrant County College – Trinity River Campus, which is located at 300 Trinity Campus Circle, Fort Worth, TX 76102. Attached you will find additional information in regards to directions, parking, and the program agenda. If traveling via bus, please notice the areas highlighted for bus drop-off and parking on the attachment.
The program will begin with check-in and a continental breakfast from 7:45am – 8:15am. The morning sessions will include an opening address from Dr. Luis Ponjuan, followed by an opportunity for two rounds of breakout sessions from a dynamic set of facilitators. A networking session and luncheon will provide participants the opportunity to connect with students from across the region and state who have similar career field interests. After lunch, there will be an opportunity to have a little fun, outside weather permitting, with a set of leadership challenge activities focused on team building, communication, and problem solving. Our program will close with an address from Mr. Rickie Clark, who will bring our summit centered on brotherhood, leadership, college & career readiness, and health & wellness to an end.
The attire for our time together will be business casual, and we encourage you to sport your school spirit with clothing that is accommodating for the outside afternoon weather.
