On Tuesday November 28, 2017, El Paso ISD (EPISD), El Paso Community College (EPCC) and University of Texas El Paso.(UTEP), will host their first Fall Male Student Leadership Summit. EPISD, This will be the fourth regional summit hosted by one of our Consortium partners this year. EPCC and UTEP believe students who are in mentoring programs are more likely to graduate and complete their public school education. Together we are committed in giving opportunities to young men to help them realize their potential by se ing goals to keep them on the road to success. Participants will get to hear from featured keynote speaker Juan Cangas. Mr. Cangas, has spent most of his life pursuing one question, “Why do some people succeed in life while other fail?” Mr. Cangas had to find his own motivation to succeed as a young Latino teen wrestling with the challenges of life. His drive to overcome barriers and desire to make his mother proud helped him become the first person in his family to attend college. Mr. Cangas is an authority in youth leadership development, with over 6 years of experience inspiring.
