Project MALES is pleased to announce that Rodrigo Aguayo, M.Ed, has joined the team as the new Program Coordinator for Project MALES. As program coordinator, Rodrigo will coordinate the daily operations of the mentoring program activities to ensure program needs are met. This includes serving as principal liaison to all school partners and as the direct supervisor for our Project MALES graduate assistants. Rodrigo’s most recent role as a mentoring site coordinator for Project MALES from 2016-2018 will allow him to bring valuable experience to this new role.
Rodrigo completed his Master’s in Education in the College & University Student Personnel Administration (CUSPA) program in Spring 2018 from the University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor’s in Psychology in 2016 from Texas State University. Please join us in welcoming Rodrigo Aguayo to the Project MALES team.
We would also like to congratulate Mike Gutierrez for starting his new position as the Senior Program Coordinator, for the Division of Enrollment Management with Student Success, at the University of Texas at Austin. In his new role, Mike will oversee the first-generation commitments for the university as well as assist with programs aimed at helping students toward graduation. Mike was our Program Coordinator from 2016-2018 and a graduate assistant between 2013-2015.
Mike is a first-year doctoral student in the Program in Higher Education Leadership (PHEL) at the University of Texas at Austin.He completed his Master’s in Education in the College & University Student Personnel Administration (CUSPA) program in Spring 2015 and a Bachelor’s in Psychology in Spring 2013 from the University of Texas at Austin.
We are happy for Mike and congratulate him on his new position. We wish him well on the next phase in his career.
