
We are pleased to recognize Project MALES Graduate Research Associate, DeAna Swan, on her most recent accomplishment as an American Association of Hispanics in Higher Education (AAHHE) 2019 Graduate Student Fellow! This Spring, DeAna will be traveling to Costa Mesa, CA for the AAHHE Annual Conference to participate in a series of professional development workshops with her cohort. The AAHHE Graduate Student Fellows Program focuses on developing the potential and career aspirations of Latinxs in higher education.
DeAna is a Ph.D. student in department of Educational Leadership and Policy (ELP) and her research focuses on understanding the conflicting, yet salient, intersecting identities that Latina mothers navigate while enrolled in doctoral programs. Her research aims to inform institutional and systemic change.
