Congratulations to Dr. Nolan Cabrera (University of Arizona) and Dr. Cristobal Salinas (Florida Atlantic University) who were recently recognized with awards for their accomplishments. We also want to recognize Dr. Sarah Rodriguez (Iowa State University) who recently accepted her new faculty position at Texas A&M University-Commerce.
In April, Dr. Cabrera received the American Educational Research Association (AERA) Division J Outstanding Publication Award for his recently published book, White Guys on Campus: Racism, White Immunity, and the Myth of “Post-Racial” Higher Education (The American Campus) (2018). This groundbreaking book promotes the institutions of higher education towards a social transformation to challenge systemic racism and public discourse.
Dr. Sarah Rodriguez will transition back to Texas as an Associate Professor and Director of the Center for Community College Education in the Department of Higher Education and Learning Technologies.
Dr. Salinas received the Florida Atlantic University Scholar of the Year at its 50th Annual Honors Convocation. This award is presented by the Division of Research and provides a $2,500 stipend in honor of their excellence in scholarly activities.
Congratulations to our three Project MALES Faculty and Research Affiliates!
