In preparation for the 2019-2020 academic year, the Texas Education Consortium for Male Student of Color (Consortium) held its Annual Strategic Planning Meeting with its Advisory Council hosted by Texas State University. Advisory Council members were welcomed by Dr. Daniel A. Brown, Dean of University College at Texas State University, an advocate for student success and supporter of the Consortium. The Consortium thanks Dr. Daniel A. Brown for his generosity and continued work towards supporting the vision of the consortium on student success.
During this meeting, Advisory Council members reviewed the Consortium’s Goals and Objectives and provided feedback. While the Consortium found many of its Goals and Objectives to be successfully on track, there were areas of improvement and growth. The meeting continued with strategic developing plans on how to better serve members and ensure the continued longevity and success of the consortium throughout the state.
In addition to reviewing the Business and Strategic plan, Advisory Council members reviewed the Institutional Questionnaire process, proposal submissions for the Texas Male Student Leadership Summit, application for Male Program of the Year, and provided feedback on the development of CBTAs. The Consortium is fortunate to have Advisory Council members who are dedicated to the successes of student across the state. Once again, the Consortium would like to thank Dr. Daniel A. Brown and Texas State University for their continuous support.
