The purpose of the Advisory Council is to provide guidance, support, and advocacy for the overall mission of the Texas Education Consortium for Male Students of Color. The scope of this vision allows the Advisory Council to formulate and have oversight for strategic and action plans in key organizational areas: 1) creating a vibrant learning community, 2) setting the Consortium policy agenda, 3) developing a sustainable financial model, and 4) representing the concerns of the Consortium institutional members. The advisory council plays a critical role to improve the educational outcomes for male students of color in the Texas K-16 educational system.
