The Project in Rundberg Recap

For the past 4 years, the Project has been dedicated to connecting with and beautifying the community of Rundberg! But this year, we are moving our efforts to the community of St. John’s and we are so excited to get to know the community and its members! As a celebration to all that the Project and its volunteers were able to do in the community of Rundberg, check out this video!

Need a hand? We’ll come to you!

Project 2019 is set for February 29th!  Any St. John’s residents, schools, parks, churches, or nonprofits who could complete beautification projects with the help of a few thousand UT volunteers, please apply!

Our mission is to lend a hand to each neighborhood in the St. John’s area, to assist where we can in meeting neighborhood goals through beautification work or improvement of physical spaces. We bring the supplies and the manpower to complete as much work as our budget will allow. Sites are selected in partnership with each site contact who applies, and formal agreements are made on an individual basis to determine the outcomes of each site.

For more information about the site application process and the site finalization timeline, please refer to this document, or email our Logistics team at

Project 2016: Recap

THANK YOU to the more than 1,400 students, staff, alumni, and Rundberg community members who volunteered at the 17th annual The Project on Saturday, Feb. 27 in the Rundberg area. Throughout the day, volunteers worked on an array of neighborhood beautification projects – from painting hopscotch and games on school play yards, to sprucing up gardens and bridges, to building nearly 75 garden beds and benches throughout the community.

Did you miss your chance to volunteer this year?  Save the date for our follow-up day on April 2nd!
